Inspiring Individuals launched

As part of World Mental Health Day, Recovery Focus today (10 October) launches a new campaign to celebrate the inspiring individuals who’re making a difference every day across our work.

Whether it’s a member of staff who goes the extra mile to support someone on their recovery journey or someone achieving one of their goals inspiring their recovery worker in their own life, people are making a difference.

And we want to celebrate these individuals by sharing their inspiring stories more widely. It could be a member of staff, someone using our services, their wider support network or a volunteer, there’s a whole range of people making a positive contribution to our recovery mission.

As part of World Mental Health Day, we’ve kicked off our Inspiring Individuals campaign by showcasing some of the stories we’ve already gathered over the past few months on our website and through social media.

But we want to broaden this out and capture as many positive stories as we can. Chief executive Derek Caren said: “People don’t have to have done the extraordinary to be inspiring. Often it’s the small acts that can have the most lasting impact and they’re the stories we want to capture.

“Our success in making recovery a reality is only possible by the words and actions of everyone associated with our organisation and we want to celebrate these inspiring individuals and give them the recognition they deserve.”

“If you’ve got a positive experience you want to share or you want to nominate someone who’s inspired you then we want to hear your story. Get in touch with the communications team by emailing: communications@richmondfellowship.org.uk
