Volunteers’ Week 2022 is a time to say thanks. It goes without saying that volunteers have played a key role in the pandemic response.

During an exceptionally difficult couple of years, people from all walks of life have taken the time to volunteer and make a huge difference to their communities – just as they do every year.

This is a time for us to come together and thank all volunteers for their invaluable contribution.

At Recovery Focus, we know the energy and dedication volunteers can bring, so we are joining in the celebration of how volunteering for a charity can both be rewarding and allow people to gain confidence and skills - including helping individuals get back into work.

In the first three months of 2022 our volunteers gave us 4,034 hours of their time!

Many volunteers who choose to donate their time to our services have also been supported by our services and want to give something back to our charity partners.

Over the next seven days (1 to 7 June) on our social media, we’ll be sharing stories and shining the spotlight on people who’ve volunteered at our partner charities, both past and present, our dedicated staff who support our volunteers in services and statistics from across our group to show that volunteering is something anyone can achieve!

So, let’s join together and thank all of those in our services and across communities who dedicate their free time to help others.
