Without the hard work and dedication of our employees, we couldn’t deliver our wide-ranging services across the country supporting the people that need us the most.

We value each and every person who works to inspire recovery in our organisation.

Because of this, we are proud to offer a strong benefits package and continuous professional development opportunities to every staff member. We are committed to ensuring that staff across all our partner organisations get the most out of working for us.

Professional development
We’re committed to investing in the ongoing development of our staff, as demonstrated through our Investors in People Silver accreditations.

We are proud to offer a comprehensive range of learning and development training, through both online and face-to-face training course, to ensure our staff are continuously progressing and being given opportunities to excel. We also offer developmental opportunities through our graduate trainee, apprenticeship and work placement programmes.

Your individual learning needs will be identified with your line manager, who will ensure that your development plan is tailored accordingly to help you achieve your key goals and objectives, engaging in a range of learning opportunities.

This includes:
  • Mandatory training for all employees
  • Learning pathways based on your role and the service in which you work
  • Access to more than 220 e-learning modules
  • Formal qualifications
  • On the job shadowing and mentoring
  • A leadership and management development programme to coach our leaders of tomorrow
  • Support while completing Qualifications and Credit Framework QCF by paying fees and giving study leave.
Employee voice

The passion, skills and expertise of our staff are key to our success; we use a number of ways to hear and enact people’s ideas to improve how we work.

  • 1. Staff council
Our staff council gives our workforce a strong voice and formal mechanism to put forward ideas to improve how we do things, as well as to raise any concerns. The council comprises representatives elected by their peers and drawn from all levels of the organisation who meet on a quarterly basis with the executive team; members also sit on working groups for specific organisational projects.
  • 2. Best practice forums
We regularly hold workshops to bring together colleagues from across the country and from different services or areas of expertise to share best practice, problem-solve and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • 3. Working Together forum
We stage a number of national event every year to bring together people using our service and our staff to share stories and information, discuss key topics and help shape our strategic direction.
  • 4. ENRICH awards

We run a recognition scheme to celebrate the successes of individuals, teams and projects.
