Our domestic abuse services are provided by My Time and DVIP, divisions of Richmond Fellowship.
Our highly trained teams provide specialist domestic abuse services, support for survivors, children and young people’s services, and therapeutic support for people affected by domestic abuse throughout the Midlands and London.
Our multicultural, person-focused services are tailored to each individual person who accesses our services, their situation and their needs.
All of our domestic abuse services are evidence-based within current national and international models of best practice to ensure they are effective, safe, and of a high quality. Our highly trained and accredited practitioners provide multilingual, culturally-sensitive interventions to perpetrators and support to survivors of domestic abuse and their families.
We support individuals and families who have experienced domestic abuse in a variety of ways, which are appropriate to each person accessing our services. This may involve 1:1 support, group support, assistance through court processes, family mental health services, peer support, and training to professionals. We have a range of specialist services for children and young people, in addition to our work with adults.
Our approach is evidence-based and holistic, including challenging and encouraging perpetrators to end their abusive behaviours, and identify and change the attitudes that underpin their violence and abuse, in addition to our extensive support for survivors and families.
A five-year study confirming the effectiveness of the Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme can be accessed here.
DVIP and My Time are also piloting the Drive Project, a programme developing and testing a new model to challenge perpetrators of domestic abuse. For more information, read the one-year evaluation of the Drive Project here.
